I wanted to share three insights with you today about perfectionism:
1. Perfectionism often masks deeply rooted insecurities. It’s how a talented person seeks confirmation that they are “enough.” While they may excel in many areas, there’s an underlying fear driving their need for perfection.
2.Perfectionists live in an “all or nothing” mindset. The fear of failure often leads them to do nothing at all, stuck in analysis paralysis. Remember, making small improvements is easier—and more effective—than trying to be perfect from the start.
3.Ambiguity is a natural part of life. Yet, perfectionists crave control over the future. The real work lies in learning to navigate uncertainty while trusting that they are already enough, just as they are.
Every perfectionist has the potential to achieve greatness—without the heavy burden of constantly feeling they fall short.
